200 special trains to be run from October 15 in festive season, IRCTC new update. Railway Board Chairman and CEO VK Yadav said that Indian Railways is planning to run 200 special trains between October 15 and November 30 in the festive season. Railways have canceled all the normal passenger trains indefinitely. These trains have been canceled since March 22 due to Corona epidemic. Railways started operating 15 special Rajdhani trains connecting Delhi to various parts of the country from May 12 and 100 long-distance trains from June 1. The railway is also running 80 additional trains since 12 September.

Those passengers planning for going for a trip in this festival seasons , Railway going to run special trains. Railway Board Chairman Yadav said that in the festive season, the Railways will run more than 200 festival special trains. At the same time, the number of special trains can also be increased if the need is felt or there is more demand. During this, he told, ‘Every day the railway assesses on which routes the waiting list is three to four days long. After this, a clone train is run on the routes on which waiting is long. If the first clone train is full, then the second clone train is run immediately.

CEO Yadav also said that they conducting a meeting with managers of various zones and guide them to gave report of Covid-19 pandemic , on the behalf of the reports of each region it will be decide how many trains would be run during festival seasons. He said that at now the number of running the trains is 200 but the number will be increased by considering the Covid-19 situation.

He added that they have start clone trains and each morning data is analysed through software and if there is waitlisting at any track then it is ensure that an clone train will be run there.
