Education Qualification:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required of the candidate.
- 7+ years of experience building production software systems
- Experience with OO design/development and driving projects from concept to prototype and finally implementation
- Experience with a variety of modern programming languages (Java, C/C++, Objective C, Python) and open-source technologies (Linux, SQLite, OpenGL, Spring, Hibernate)
- Experience in technical communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualification:
- Understanding of design for scalability, performance, and reliability, as well as experience designing cloud software services
- Development experience with Linux and embedded operating systems, including establishing, building, and maintaining web service APIs
- Communication product development experience (e.g. IP messaging, voice , and video)
- Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers in order to keep the architectural vision and software quality intact.
