This is a great opportunity for all the candidates who want to do internship in DRDO. Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has invited applications for internship from students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in engineering and general science. The main objective of this internship is to enable candidate to gain practical experience and get expose to cutting-edge research and innovation in the defense sector. The official notification of DRDO states that “Intern will be allow entry only in unclassified areas of DRDO laboratories / establishment. DRDO will not be oblige to provide employment to the students in any manner on completion of their training.
DRDO will not be liable for any compensation in case of personal injury due to any accident occurring during the participation of student in laboratories / establishment. The training period generally ranges from 4 weeks to 6 months depending on the type of course. However, this will be determine at the discretion of the Lab Director.”
In the internship program, student will have to attend orientation session, project assignment, regular meeting with mentor and workshop aim at enhancing their technical knowledge. Intern will also have to present their finding at the end of their tenure. So that they can be evaluate base on what they have learn in so many month of internship.
DRDO Internship: Eligibility Criteria and How Much Stipend Will Be Available
Talking about eligibility, candidates should have a degree like BE/BTech or ME/MTech in relevant fields with a minimum of 60% marks. The application process for doing internship involves submitting forms to the respective DRDO labs through the respective colleges.
At the same time, interns will get a stipend of ₹8,000 to ₹12,000 per month. Which varies depending on the type of internship and the qualification of the intern.
How to apply for DRDO internship?
Interested students must first identify a DRDO laboratory or establishment related to their field of study and apply through their college or university. Acceptance depends on the available slots and the discretion of the concerned lab director.
