The Top 4 Features of WhatsApp
Locked chats
Locked chats are one of the many features that were introduced this past year, but they may go unappreciated the most. To move a chat to a locked folder, navigate to the chat’s information, select “Locked Chats,” and then follow the on-screen instructions. Only after completing an authentication process using your fingerprint, face unlock, or passcode can you access protected chats.
Voice Status
Voice Status, which was released this past year, allows you to record and submit voice messages as a status update. Similar to the standard text-based status, voice status allows you to express your ideas aloud rather than typing them out. Go to the Status tab on your profile, hit the pencil icon, press and hold the mic icon, and record your message to make a voice status. Friends will be able to hear your voice status for a full day.
Screen sharing
This year, WhatsApp users can easily work together by sharing their screen during video calls. To allow your friend to watch your screen during a video conversation, look for the screen sharing icon, which looks like a phone with an arrow. Tap it. It’s ideal for group internet shopping, debugging tech issues, and more.
Send photos in HD
Photos shared via WhatsApp have long been known for appearing to have been taken on a potato. With the introduction of a new option this year, you may now email full-resolution images and videos without sacrificing quality. To transfer files in their original quality, look for the “HD” symbol when attaching media and tap it. Just be aware that more data will be used.
