DXC Technology was founded in 2017 when the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (HPE) spun off its Enterprise Services business and merged it with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Last week, DXC Technology successfully sold its healthcare provider software business to the Dedalus Group. The Company hopes to receive about $450 million from the deal, which was initially announced in July last year.

With this deal, Dedalus, which is a known health IT and diagnostics specialist in Europe, will be able to make a mark in the market. With the help of DXC Technology’s base, it will gain a foothold in several NHS trusts. Dedalus will now be able to take forward its goal to achieve a digitally-enabled healthcare ecosystem, wherein all stakeholders work together to improve the health outcomes of the population.
The shares of DXC Technology have been outperforming competitors, such as IBM, Accenture and Microsoft. The Company helps customers improving cyber defence, verify digital identities, and protect sensitive data. It offers expert advisory services along with 24×7 managed security services to help secure an organisation’s digital enterprise.
American information technology firm, DXC Technology, will hire 7,000 freshers from campuses in India this year. Given the rise in demand for talent, the hiring will be 40 per cent more this year, than it was last year when it had hired about 5,000 freshers.
The Company has a 40,000-strong workforce in India and employs over a lakh and a half worldwide. The Company will continue to have employees working from home till June this year.
