Get ration card linked to Aadhaar card by September 30 , Otherwise there may be problem. The government had set September 30 as the deadline for linking your ration card to your Aadhaar card. If you fail to do this linking before 30th September, you will be able to get quota grains only till 30th September. Therefore, to get food grains under Public Distribution System (PDS), you need to link your Aadhaar card with ration card.
It is worth noting here that the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution had issued clear instructions to all the states and Union Territories (Union Territories) that any real beneficiary or household be deprived of the right to quota of food grains Should not be done. Ministry said that their name / ration card should not be removed / canceled only on the basis of not having an Aadhaar number.

Visit the official Aadhaar linking website.
Click on ‘Start Now’. Go ahead and enter your address details.
Choose the benefit type from the given options as a ration card.
Now you have to choose the name of the scheme.
Enter the ration card number, your Aadhaar number, email address and mobile number.
OTP will be sent to your mobile number. After entering the OTP you will receive a notification informing you of the completion of your application process.
After this, your application will be verified and after successful verification your Aadhar card will be connected to the ration card.

Visit the PDS center or ration shop near you.
Take photocopy of Aadhaar card, passport size photo of head of family and ration card for all your family members.
If your bank account is not linked to your Aadhaar, you will need to submit a copy of your passbook.
Submit all applicable documents to the PDS shop along with a copy of your Aadhaar card number.
After submitting all the documents, an SMS will be sent to the mobile number registered in your Aadhaar.
You will get an additional SMS as soon as the ration card Aadhaar link is completed.
The government has also started implementing the inter-state portability of ration card holders under the ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme to protect the interests of poor and migrant beneficiaries.
