Kerala TET Notification: The RTE Act 2009 directs the State to ensure the quality requirement for recruitment of teachers. The persons recruited as teachers should possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at all levels of schooling. K-TET is an examination to assess the quality of teacher candidates for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School Classes in Kerala.

Qualification 2022
The candidates who are willing to apply for this examination should possess the educational qualification concerning the category they want to apply for as follows.
Category I: Lower Primary Teacher- Classes I to V: Secondary/ Higher is Secondary or equivalent with 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education is necessary to apply for this category.
Category II: Upper Primary Teacher Classes VI to VIII: BA/B.Com/BSc with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/TTC (or) Secondary/ Higher Secondary with 4 years of BEIEd( Bachelor in Elementary Education) is necessary.
Category III: High School Teacher Classes VIII to X: BA/B.Com/B.Sc with B.Ed is a must for this position. To apply for Zoology, Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics, and Physics, the candidate must have 50% marks from the regional institute categorized by NCERT.
Category IV: Special Teacher and Other Posts: Those who have obtained qualifications for the posts of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu Language Teachers (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers, and Physical Education teachers are also eligible.
KTET Selection Process:
Selection of contenders will be based on the marks obtained in K-TET 2022 Exam.
A person who scores 60% or more in the K-TET examination will be considered KTET passed’ or ‘K-TET qualified.
KTET Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay the application fee of Rs.500/- Rs.300 /- Rs.100/- as per category through online mode using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking.
