PM Modi launches fisheries scheme ,e-Gopala app in Bihar . Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big gift of schemes worth crores to Bihar. Prime Minister Modi has launched a new app to help farmers. The name of this app is E-Gopala App. The Prime Minister launched it through video conferencing. PM launches fisheries and husbandary project more than 20,000 crore .
Under the scheme, programs started in 21 states and union territories, including Bihar, at the press of the Prime Minister’s button. E-Gopala App has also been launched for farmers. During the launching, Prime Minister Modi said, “This app will be very useful for farmers and cattle rearers. This will provide technical information to the cattle rearers”. During the launch of the scheme, the Prime Minister also talked to the cattle herders of Bihar. PM Modi also launched many new initiatives in fisheries and animal husbandry sectors in Bihar. During this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Giriraj Singh also participated in the program.

Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) is a focused and sustainable development plan on the fisheries sector. It is to be implemented in all the states during the period from FY 2020-21 to 2024-25 under the self-sufficient India package. An estimated investment of Rs 20,050 crore is to be made in this scheme. Of this, an investment of about Rs 12,340 crore is proposed for beneficiary-centric activities in marine, inland fisheries and aquaculture, and an investment of Rs 7,710 crore for fisheries infrastructure.
This development comes against the problems of the economy affect due to the Covid-19 pandemic .Bihar is one of the most affected state in which maximum of peoples have to migrate due to lack of employment in this Covid-19 Pandemic.
