The National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI), Vadodara has launched seven new graduate and post graduate programs – two BTech, two MBA and three MSc programs in the core applied sector. According to the official statement, these programs are highly inter-disciplinary and application-oriented by any other institution in India and are unique in their own right.
Two B.Tech programs focus on rail infrastructure, rail systems and communications engineering, while MBA programs focus on transportation and supply chain management. The MSc programs focus on systems engineering and integration, systems and analytics, policy and economics.

The MSc program on Systems Engineering and Integration will be offered in conjunction with the University of Birmingham, UK, the statement said, which is highly promising as it will also increase international exposure for students. Speaking at the launch of the new board, Railway Board Chairman and CEO VK Yadav said, “NRTI has adopted an interdisciplinary approach to transportation systems research – it is bringing together academics, scientists and engineers from different backgrounds and planning to leverage”
The chairman further said, “This step intends to develop a core value for dedication to nation-building, commitment to innovation and academic excellence, compassion to people and society and responsibility towards environment. Will provide project-based education. “
Eligibility :
For undergraduate courses, eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Maths and Chemistry. For post-graduate courses, eligibility is graduation. Candidates must be under 25 years of age for applying to any course.
Asper Govt mandates, there is a provision of reservation as well: General+EWS – 50.5% , OBC – 27% , SC – 15% , ST – 7.5%
