Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Jobs: Tamil Nadu Electricity Board is a power generation and distribution company owned by Government of Tamil Nadu, India. It was created as a regulated monopoly under section 131 of the Electricity Act as a successor of the erstwhile Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.

Recruitment of the Electricity Board in Tamil Nadu is appointed through an examination conducted by the Electricity Board. Vacancies in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board were filled through competitive examinations conducted on behalf of the Electricity Board of Tamil Nadu. Due to the lack of people to do fieldwork at the power plant, Crewman workplaces were created in 2019 to do fieldwork in times of disaster.
After the registration ends the Election was made and the Government was changed. Thus it is now questionable whether elections will be held for the previously announced 5,300 posts. If so, there are demands that those who have not applied before should be given a second chance to apply.
Tamil Nadu had released the recruitment notification for various 5300 vacancies and the application was available from February to March. On that Vacancy Notification Accordingly, 600 Assistant Engineer, 500 Bachelor Assistant Accountant, and 1,300 Accountant posts are vacant for the year 2020. Now there is a demand for the government to conduct examinations for the posts of Assistant Engineer and Bachelor Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and to give them a second chance to apply for that examination.
