Defence Minister Rajnath Singh: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched 15 products on Thursday, which includes four by OFB (Ordnance Factory Board) and BEML (Bharat Earth Movers Limited), two by BEL and one by HAL, BDL, MDL, GRSE and GSL, developed by respective DPSUs/ OFB as part of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ initiative announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Referring to the these launch Rajnath Singh said, “We cannot depend on foreign governments, foreign suppliers and foreign defence products to meet our defence needs. It is not compatible with the objectives and feelings of a strong and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.”
Further, Rajnath Singh added that, “With this purpose the government has initiated steps towards Corporatisation of OFB . I am sure this step will not only help do away the constraints of controlled pricing, but will also infuse corporate management practices and efficient systems”.
Overall, these products have been launched because of the ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ initiative announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As we well know that security is the first priority for our nation. and Government has already banned 49 apps. It is known that the nations, which are able to protect themselves, they have been able to build their strong image at the global level.
