RRB Level-1 Recruitment 2020: Railways reserved 20% vacancy for Apprentices. Indian Railways said that out of 1,03,769 certified vacancies for Level-1 recruitment, 20 percent of the vacancies have been reserved for Apprentice. According to official entries, over 2.40 crore candidates have applied against these employment notifications. According to the statement issued, As per Apprentice Act 2016, Indian Railways has reserved 20 percent vacancies (i.e 20,734 vacancies) out of 1,03,769 for Apprentices.
The Railways stated that “All the eligible citizens of the country deserve to compete and apply for the routine. It is against the rules of direct recruitment without any open competition. ” This comes after the cases when trainee apprentices were demanding regular appointment in railway establishments.

According to the statement issued, the railway has attached the trainee to impart training in its establishments. The statement further states, As per the amendment made in the Apprentice Act 2016, every employer has to formulate a policy of appointment of Training Act Apprentice in its establishment. Keeping this in mind, Railways has kept 20 percent vacancies in Level 1 recruitment for such apprentices and all have been given appropriate opportunities.
The Railway Act states, “As per Section 22 (i) of the Apprentices Act, 1961, on 22 December 2014, there is a provision that every employer shall formulate its own policy for the recruitment of any Apprentice who has trained his Apprentice. Has completed the period. ” Railways said that during the year 2018, Railway Recruitment Board has recruited 1288 apprentices in Level-1 posts.
