ToggleAICTE: Admission date extended, new academic session will start from December 1. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released a new academic calendar for various engineering courses across the country. Council has given relief to institutes, colleges and students due to delay in engineering entrance examinations due to ovid-19. In this regard, AICTE has also issued a notice on its website .
It stated that the Council had issued Academic Calendar 2020-21 dated 13 August 2020 for engineering courses. Now some changes have been made in that. Keeping in mind the current situation in the country, the appeals of various state governments and the admission process released in IITs and NITs, the Council has extended the last date of Engineering Admission 2020.

AICTE : Admission date extended
Now the Council has made the last date for admission in Engineering First Year (Degree and Diploma Lateral Entry) courses 30 November 2020. Also, while changing the calendar, it has been told that classes for the new academic session 2020-21 will start from December 01, 2020 for these courses.
Provisional admission facility also available . AICTE has not only extended the deadline for admission, but has also asked colleges to grant admission on the provisional basis even if the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared. However, such students will have to produce a proof of passing certificate by 31 December 2020.
Earlier, the new batch classes for Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture and other courses were scheduled to start from 15 September 2020.
