Independence Day: On August 15 1947, India achieved its independence after years of being ruled by British and indeed after a lot of struggle. From India’s first war of Independece in 1857 to Gandhi Ji’s return and joined Indian National Congress in 1915. India has been through a lot of wars, events that led to this freedom which we have today.
India is celebrating its 74th Independence Day in 2020. This day is special for every Indian living in India as well as Abroad. This day is celebrated with Flag hosting ceremony and different cultural events.
Special Preparations for 2020’s Independence Day

As mentioned above, this day is usually celebrated with cultural programs, competitions, flag-hosting ceremony. This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many restrictions are already there like social distancing. You celebrate the day with safety from your house, maintain safety guidelines, and social distancing, and keep yourself and your family safe. That will be the true spirit of Independence Day 2020.
Celebration and flag hoisting ceremony take place at Red Fort. A lot of security arrangements for social distancing are in place for the celebration of Independence Day celebrations. A security ring, including NSG snipers, elite SWAT commandos, and kite catchers, will be at the Red Fort where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation. 300 cameras have installed for security. There will be at least 4,000 officers at the Red Fort.
Because of Covid-19, security at Red Fort is very tight and all the arrangements have been made for social distancing.
